All Childrens Meals

We provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late afternoon tea. The menu is prepared based on the nutritional requirements of children aged 0 - 6. If your child is allergic to or unable to eat certain foods due to allergies or religion please ensure that the staff are aware, so that we can cater for your child’s eating needs. A note of any special needs will be kept in the kitchen and in your child’s room. Jigsaw will endeavour to be a Nut Free Centre.

Parents Need to Provide

  • 2-3 complete changes of clothing
  • Sunhat
  • Jacket
  • Bottles & formula
  • Nappies

Please ensure that all your child’s clothing and belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s name. Laundry markers can be bought from any Coles and Safeway supermarkets.

How do we share information with parents?

Notes are regularly sent home. These are distributed through your child’s locker. Periodically you will receive the Jigsaw newsletter, which keeps you up to date on what is happening around the centre.

How do parents share information with us?

Each room has a Suggestion Book near their program. Parents are encouraged to make any comments or suggestions they might have in these books.

Your child has a Communication Book which you can use to write messages to your child’s teachers. Finally, verbal communication is the best way of sharing information with your child’s teacher, other staff, and/or the Director.

Sometimes we ask for feedback on a specific topics, usually in the form of a letter in the rooms or foyer or via a questionnaire.

Settling your child into the centre

Settling into a new centre is a big change for a child and some children will take more time to settle than others. A lot of this will depend on your child’s personality, your attitude and any previous experiences of child care or preschool.
